Following the work of The Voluntary Association in Support of the Forgotten Invalid Veterans in Viet Nam Incorporated (VASFIVVN) based in Sydney, Australia, Tinh Thuong Foundation (TTF) was set up in 2004 to provide financial support to invalid veterans of the ARVN.

TTF is a public company limited by guarantee, which is a non-profit organisation headed by a Board of Directors. In Victoria, Australia, TTF is a registered fundraiser under the Fundraising Appeals Act 1998. TTF is also in the process of application for fundraising registration in Western Australia.

TTF is a non-profit, non-government organisation and have no political and/or ideological affiliations in Australia or internationally. Ultimately, TTF and its founders are concerned with the alleviation of poverty and addressing disadvantage of individuals and families in Viet Nam, paying particular attention to the needs of invalid veterans of the ARVN. TTF’s aim over the next five years is to raise funds to provide financial support for invalid veterans and their dependents. TTF also aims to provide funds for emergency medical attention and other physical needs (such as provision of wheelchairs and other physical aids) on a case by case basis.

TTF is staffed by volunteers, and no one is remunerated for work done. TTF relies completely on donations, sponsorship and volunteers to carry out its work.

How You Can Help ?

There are several ways you could help TTF do its work.

Sponsorship

You could directly sponsor an invalid veteran on an annual basis.

General Donation

You could donate money to TTF. TTF will use this money to either: Sponsor an invalid veteran, partly or wholly for a year and on a once-off basis depending on their immediate needs;
or
Put the money towards TTF Emergency Fund which provides for emergency medical procedures and/or economic hardship.

Making a Donation/Sponsorship

You could donate/sponsor by doing any of the following:

- Send us a ‘Money Order’ (purchased through any Australian Post Office)
- Send us an ‘International Money Order’ (preferably in Australian Dollars)
- Send us a ‘Bank Cheque’ (in Australian Dollars – no personal cheques please as we will be charged with a fee if the cheque bounces)

Please include your name and address, and preference for either donation or sponsorship of individual beneficiaries. TTF will send a receipt for your donation/sponsorship.

Direct Deposit

You could also make a direct deposit into our bank account, either electronically or through your own bank. Please remember to note your name and ‘donation’ in the transfer notes. Please also follow up your electronic transfer with an email setting out date, amount and your name so that we could trace your donation/sponsorship.
